    Our qualified language trainers are mother tongue or totally bilingual and have a vast amount of experience in their feild. They personalise their teaching approach in the classroom to each of their students in order to attain specific goals within the lesson, that of the student, and in the preparation for the different examinations offered at all levels.

    The Wessex Academy’s direct method of language training where the target language is spoken 100% of the time allows for the rapid development of listening skills and helps the learner to start thinking in the target language.

Programme

  • Study is essentially oral-based. The book, through pictures, drawings and short texts helps students learn simple words and the present tenses of the auxiliary verbs ‘to be’ and ‘to have.’
  • As vocabulary rapidly increases, written work begins with exercises for this level and other tenses and simple verbs are studied.
  • Grammar is explained constantly in keeping with progress.

Programme

  • Taught by a native speaker and assisted by a course framework, study is essentially oral-based, which helps students to express themselves more and more confidently. Role-playing in the language puts students in real-life, everyday and professional situations.
  • New verb tenses and more complex vocabulary are introduced and there is an in-depth teaching of grammar.
  • Writing and spelling complete the programme for this level.

  • Acquire good basic knowledge of the language, particularly in pronunciation, spelling, grammar and writing
  • Be able to make professional and personal telephone conversations.

  • New verb tenses and more complex vocabulary are introduced and there is an in-depth teaching of grammar.
  • Business language and writing of simple letters form part of the programme, as well as use of emails and Internet.

  • Acquire solid knowledge of the language, particularly in pronunciation, spelling, grammar and writing.
  • Students are able to make telephone calls and hold conversations about professional and personal matters.

  • Vocabulary work includes the difficulties and particularities of the language enabling excellent understanding, both oral and written.
  • Students talk and discuss topical, literary and specialized matters and write compositions, emails and use the Internet.
  • Business and specialized language is introduced according to students’ interests, objectives and profession.

  • Reach C1 level
  • Be able to satisfy most professional and non-professional demands efficiently, both in writing and orally.
  • Students are at ease in writing and communicating using complex vocabulary on specific subjects of a private or professional nature.

At this level students are able to satisfy most professional and non-professional demands efficiently, both in writing and orally. They are at ease in writing and communicating using complex vocabulary on specific subjects of a private or professional nature.

 

Programme

  • There is advanced and extensive study of grammar, spelling, and the difficulties and particularities of the language.
  • Oral work includes proverbs and sayings.
  • Students study a book and an author and different literary forms as well as commentaries, interpretations, justification of topical subjects, and broadening of general knowledge
  • Study of business and specialized language continues, according to students’ interests, objectives and profession, using a wide range of vocabulary.

 

Course objectives

  • Reach C2 level
  • Be able to communicate in numerous domains, using correct terminology (banking, economic, financial etc.) for presentations, negotiations and offers.
  • Students can understand long radio programmes, conferences, specialized and complex texts with ease
  • Write clear, well-structured articles on complex subjects.
  • They are able to welcome clients, organize conferences and hold meetings.

Level C2 : Higher / Master degree

Students are able to communicate in numerous domains, using correct terminology (banking, economic, financial etc.) for presentations, negotiations and offers.

 

Programme

  • Advanced study of the particularities of the language as well as sophisticated vocabulary, polished turns of phrase, using impeccable grammar and correct spelling.
  • Development of an argument, reasoning, discussions on topical, political and other subjects according to students’ interests and objectives are part of the programme.

Course objective

  • Be able to read and understand with no difficulty, relate facts,  reason and speak fluently and spontaneously, using precise terms.
  • Students are able to communicate in specialized domains, hold conferences and meetings, use correct terminology (banking, economic, financial etc.) in presentations and important negotiations.
  • Translator and interpreter exams are prepared as well as teaching diplomas.
